A veteran in strategy consulting and leadership development, Neel heads up Green Peak Partners’ West Coast efforts. He serves a broad base of Private Equity and Alternative Investment clients which include Madison Dearborn Partners, First Reserve Corporation, The Carlyle Group, Berkshire Partners, Audax Group, and Citadel Investment Group. He also works extensively with corporate clients, including Schlumberger, JetBlue, and Hewlett Packard. He brings deep expertise across a broad set of organizational services including management due diligence, organizational assessment, team building, and executive coaching.
A CTI-certified executive coach, Neel has a proven ability to ‘turbo-charge’ the integration of CEOs as they enter new roles and to unlock their leadership potential. Neel is also a trusted advisor who works closely with senior executives to direct and implement core change initiatives. He has a demonstrated track record of delivering near- and long-term executable strategies across a broad range of industries, with a specialization in consumer goods and retail, oil and gas, technology, and financial services. In addition to his leadership and change management expertise, he is a creative, entrepreneurial problem solver who understands how to generate bottom-line results for his clients.
Prior to Green Peak, Neel worked at another premier consulting firm, the Boston Consulting Group, where he brought a mix of analytical skills, business acumen and leadership to develop and implement recommendations for large corporate enterprises around the globe. He also worked closely with Private Equity and Hedge Fund investment professionals to perform critical strategic due diligence for potential investments. Neel’s work has been cited in CFO and HR Magazine. In recognition of his outstanding people skills and selection expertise, he was tapped to lead all recruiting efforts for BCG’s San Francisco office.
Prior to BCG, Neel spent several years in the startup environment at Quinstreet (now a publically traded corporation: QNST) and Katmango, an Internet software company which he helped launch. Early in his career, Neel held positions at Intel, IBM, and Deloitte Consulting. Neel also guest lectures on ‘Hiring Top Talent’ at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Neel earned an MBA at the Wharton School where he was appointed a Leadership Fellow. He also holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Neel lives in Northern California with his wife, Manjari, and their two sons.
