Deeply steeped in organizational effectiveness and business strategy, Ryan brings rich experience to Green Peak’s clients. He advises private equity investors, CEOs, and Board members across a range of topics such as management due diligence, organizational assessment, and leadership development. At Green Peak, he has worked with Madison Dearborn Partners, Sterling Partners, H.I.G. Capital, Global Endowment Management, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, and their CEOs on de-risking investments, making critical hires, and helping portfolio companies scale. Prior to joining Green Peak, Ryan spent over a decade with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in the Atlanta office where he was a core member of the firm’s organization practice. As a fast-track Principal at BCG, he led consultant and client teams through large-scale organizational transformations, pre- and post-merger integrations, growth strategies, and profit improvement/turnaround situations. Ryan has advised senior leadership teams in Fortune 500 companies across a diverse set of industries including healthcare, travel and tourism, industrial goods, high tech/software, and the public sector. He has also accumulated significant international exposure after spending several years living and working abroad, serving as a BCG Ambassador in the Mexico and Paris offices as well as leading extensive client engagements in the UK.
Ryan brings an unusual blend of hard analytics, business savvy, and emotional intelligence in his approach. He is results focused and deeply committed to value creation and delivery for his clients. While at BCG, Ryan was recognized with multiple awards celebrating both his outstanding client service and his citizenship within the firm. He took an active lead in the recruiting, career development, and performance management of the consulting staff. Ryan served in an official capacity as a career advisor and coach to a cohort of new consultants, providing guidance on their professional development needs and helping them navigate their individual career paths within the firm. In addition to his role leading project teams, he further honed his leadership and people skills by serving as a formal mentor to over 25 consultants in the Atlanta office.
Earlier in his professional career, Ryan also worked in venture philanthropy with the Eli & Edythe Broad Foundation, in software consulting with Manhattan Associates, and in manufacturing with Kimberly-Clark.
Ryan holds an MBA and Masters of Arts from Stanford University. He also holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he graduated with highest honors and first in his engineering class. Ryan currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, Caitlin.
